For 20 years, New York’s volunteer firefighter and EMS tax credit has remained unchanged. Now we have an opportunity to increase it, and we need Governor Hochul to sign the legislation.
Please join FASNY on Saturday, September 19 at 11:30 a.m. at the Ossining Fire Department as we stand together in support of S.6233-A/A.6790-A. Our volunteer fire and EMS members give countless hours to protect their communities, train, respond at all hours of the day and night, and provide services that save taxpayers millions of dollars. Increasing this tax credit is one meaningful way New York can recognize that commitment and help support the recruitment and retention of volunteers.
There is strength in numbers. We need firefighters, EMS providers, departments, families, friends, and supporters to come out and make our voices heard.
Class A Uniform is not required, FD Polo Shirts and Casual slacks are fine
