It is with sincere sympathy that the Putnam County VFA announces the recent passing of Salvatore "Sal" Colatruglio, Life Member and Quartermaster of the Mahopac Volunteer FD, and Life Member of our own Association. Firefighter Sal Colatruglio was also a member of the Putnam County Fire Police Response Team.

We share in Mahopac FD's loss of its 43-year member, who passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 16th. Sal was a member of the PCVFA since joining in 1998.

Services will be held at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 19th, from 4-8pm, with Firematic Services to take place at 7pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 20th at 10am at St John the Evangelist Church, Mahopac, with interment to follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
