The Putnam County Volunteer Firemen's Association ("PCVFA") was formed in 1951 with its general purpose being the promotion and development of the Putnam County Firefighters and Volunteer Ambulance personnel, so that together they may, among other things:   More effectively assist in the Firematic and First Aid training of all firefighters and ambulance personnel in the County, support and execute the specific efforts of our County's volunteer First Responders and promote and encourage fire prevention and first aid education throughout Putnam County through our Member Companies.  We continue to aspire to this Mission Statement more than 70 years later.
