The Ladies Auxiliary PCVFA was thrilled to have one of its own recognized as LAFASNY's "Member of the Year" - CAROL MADDEN of the Carmel Fire Department Auxiliary. This prestigious award is presented by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Firefighters Association of the State of NY during its annual convention.

A nomination-based award, this special recognition goes to a LAFASNY member who the committee deems has gone above and beyond in her own Auxiliary, as well as other associations she may belong to. Carol is a 50-year member of Carmel FD Auxiliary and has led our County Auxiliary as its President three times! She is also an Associate Member of the PCVFA and assists her husband, our Sgt-at-Arms Peter Madden, at every meeting with the 50/50 raffle.
