It is with sincere sympathy that the Putnam County VFA announces the recent passing of Willie C. Boone Jr., Life Member of both Patterson Fire Department and our own Association.

We share in Patterson FD's loss as Willie Columbus Boone (later Deacon Willie C. Boone) joined the PCVFA in 1966 and in later years moved to Edenton, North Carolina where he was welcomed and well-loved. Our Life Member passed on June 4, 2025, at the age of 89. His services were held at the Providence Missionary Baptist Church in his home town of Edenton, NC on June 16th. Willie Boone will be remembered at our annual Memorial Service on July 28.
