Today we mourn, along with the Brewster FD, the unexpected passing of PCVFA's Life Member Chief/Commissioner Thomas Palmer.

"TP", as Tom Palmer was known to his family and friends, was elected to Chief of the Brewster Fire Department in April of 1996, where he led his members with pride throughout his two-year term. In 2008, Chief Palmer was elected to the office of Commissioner of the Brewster-Southeast Joint Fire District, serving his community well in that regard until 2013.

To quote Brewster FD Chief Michael Miller, "Tom's sacrifice and dedication to his Family, Department and Community were truly second to none. He served with the highest traditions and values and truly helped develop the organization into what it is today."

Chief Palmer leaves behind his wife, Brewster Fire Department life member, Laurie Palmer, and son Collin Palmer. Details on services are still being organized and will be shared once they become available.
