Thanks to all of you who joined us this past Saturday night, February 27, for our Roast Beef Dinner. We
appreciate your leaving Ol' Man Winter behind you for a short while and hope that you enjoyed your dinner with
us! We certainly enjoyed having you! Your support not only helps with our fundraising efforts, but more
importantly allows you to enjoy a quality meal with good company at a very affordable price!
Eventually it will be Spring and to work our way towards it we have two events planned for the month of March. For
those of you who have not yet seen our advertising, our Explorer Post is having its annual Corned Beef &
Cabbage Dinner this upcoming Saturday night. At the end of the month it's bye-bye winter ... or at least we'll try!
Here're the details - and the flyers, too!
BFD EXPLORERS’ ANNUAL CORNED BEEF & CABBAGE DINNER
When: Saturday, March 6th
Time: 6PM - 8:30PM
Cost: $15 for adults, $8 for children ages 6-10, and children under 5 eat FREE!
Menu: Traditional corned beef & cabbage, with potatoes and carrots. Also included is Crème de la Crème’s
delicious Irish Soda Bread, salad and cake/coffee. Plus we'll have the pleasure of the young Celtic Dancers who
will be back again this year to entertain us in their beautiful costumes with a short ‘riverdance-style’ recital. Please
do let us know if you'll be joining us in this traditional Explorer event, whose proceeds are put towards training of
these dedicated future firefighters!
BFD SUMMERFEST!
When: Saturday, March 27th
Time: 6PM - 8:00PM
Cost: $15 adults, $6 for ages 4-10, under 3 eat FREE!
Menu: Step into our hall and say good-bye to winter with the BFD's very own SUMMERFEST! You'll enjoy a total
bbq-style experience with chicken, ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, and more, served to you in a summery
fashion. Plus you'll still enjoy beginning your meal with our self-serve appetizer table and ending it with a summer-
themed dessert bar! Feel free to wear your flip-flops! RSVP's appreciated, as always!
